US Presidential Debate

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) participate in the first 2008 Presidential debate. Its great that the people of the nation get to decide who their leader is going to be based on public debates which gives the people a opportunity to decide on their own. If only Bush could decide who his successor is going to be and sets his own transition plan. I hope someday we have this exact scenario’s where we decide who leads us and not the out-going leader. I personally feel that the people deserve the opportunity to watch the potential new leaders go up against the seasoned once. I think the new aspiring leaders would be first to come on the stage to debate and the current crop taking that for granted.
Roysmith - I wish there will be a debate like this in Malaysia. Where the PM debate with Anwar. Wow, that gonna be a cool one. I wish Anwar will giv a hell to the PM.
New poll shows Anwar will be better PM than Najib

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 — By a small margin, Malaysians think opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would make a better prime minister compared with Datuk Seri Najib Razak, according to a survey conducted recently by the independent Merdeka Centre.
In the same survey, Malaysians also appear more divided than ever over their support for the country’s political leadership. There are also sharp differences in preferences between the different races, with a majority of non-Malays supporting Anwar, while more Malays preferred Najib. Between Sept 11 and 22, Merdeka Centre carried out a leadership performance perception on a cross section of 1,002 people of voting age from the three main ethnic communities in the country. Among the questions asked was: “Between Najib Razak and Anwar Ibrahim, who do you think makes a better prime minister?” Najib garnered a 33.8 per cent average total support among the three major races. Anwar edged him by a margin of less than six per cent — he garnered an average total of 39.3 per cent.
Roysmith - This is what the people want. Do you want this too.? Let's change it in the next general election and get the BN out from the country...!!
J.B.Jeyaretnam Passed Away

SINGAPORE, Sept 30 — Joshua B. Jeyaretnam, Singapore's best known and most dogged opposition leader who fought a lone battle against the powerful ruling establishment despite being driven to bankruptcy, died today. He was 82. Roysmith - The first great opposition in 1981. It's a great loss for the country. He really believed in democracy and never stopped fighting for Singapore. Have wrote two great books that are, Make it Right for Singapore and The Hatchet Man of Singapore. My condolonce to you and your family. :(

Demolition of Temple - the UMNO Factor

The demolition of the Sri Maha Kaliamman temple in Kampung Tasik, Jalan Baru in Ampang on September 9, 2008 is another example of elements within a local town/city council acting to sabotage the PR state government. In these attempts to embarrass the PR state government, these elements who are mostly UMNO supporters are working on an agenda to swing public opinion against the state government. These elements must be brought to book. Failing to nail MP Teresa Kok with the ISA, the bastards & bitches within UMNO are working full steam on an agenda to overthrow the PR state government. The public should be vigilant as not to be bought & sold by these agendas.

Singapore Superhero: Batman Bin Suparman

You should never judge a book by its cover, but what if that book turned out to be a comic? Batman Bin Suparman might not be a joke, but his name sure is. In Singapore, English is the most widely used language and all names are translated or converted to English when their Birth Certificate is issued. On May 13, 1990, this young man was blessed with being named after two superheroes: Batman and Superman.

New MSN Messenger

MSN has launched its latest version of MSN Messenger. This Beta version of the Windows Live Messenger has a new look and feel to it which i think is pretty cool. You can download the latest version HERE but make sure you pay attention to the install process as it installed a full suite of products which you probably don’t need in the first place.

I only choose to go with the Windows Messenger Live and unpicked the rest of the suite.

Man faked death to cheat

Singapore - A MAN faked his death so that he and his wife could collect their insurance money and Central Provident Fund contributions. But the scam backfired for Shamsul Bahri Lamaon, 44. Instead, he found himself behind bars for 42 months after pleading guilty to the two charges on Wednesday. It all started when he was posted to Jakarta to work in 2004. He chalked up a huge debt from his credit cards. Two years later he quit his job. His Indonesian wife, Madam Rima Triyana, then hatched a scheme to fake his death and file claims with Great Eastern Life Assurance where he had five policies, and the Central Provident Fund Board. They had planned to use the money to run a business, buy a house and for their children's education. To avoid detection, Shamsul remained at Mdm Rima's parents village at Surade, Indonesia. The wife managed to get a fake death certificate and supporting documents claiming he died of a heart attack on April 20, 2006. The offences came to light after Shamsul decided to give himself up early this year. He subsequently learnt that his wife had been paid $125,690 by GE. He was afraid she would get her hands into another insurance payout of $200,249 which his son, a minor then, was the beneficiary. He contacted his cousin who alerted the GE to stop the payment and to inform them he was alive. GE reported the matter to the police. Shamsul was arrested when he flew in from Jakarta on Feb 4.
Mdm Rima, 34, is at large. He could have been jailed for up to seven years and fined on each charge.

Negaraku rapper quizzed by cops

KUALA LUMPUR Sept 23, 2008): A 25-year-old mass communications graduate who caused a "national stir" with his own rap music version of the national anthem Negaraku two years ago was questioned for more than three hours by federal police today. Wee Meng Chee, who is being probed under the Sedition Act for allegedly mangling the song with local sensitivities, arrived with his parents in the federal commercial crime headquarters on Bukit Perdana at 10.30am. The six-minute song he renamed Negarakuku was sung by Wee in Hokkien and Mandarin but the chorus is in Bahasa Malaysia. At about 1.50pm, he walked out of the police building and was swarmed by reporters and photographers. Appearing cool and relaxed, reporters were taken aback when Wee said he was unaware of the nature of the probe or under which provisions of the law he was being investigated for. "The police asked me to turn up to answer questions. They did not tell me for what I am being probed for or if I have to come here again. I play music, I don't know the law. The police were very kind and friendly to me," he said when asked if the police had told him what he is being investigated for. He said among the questions put to him by police was on why he wrote the song and details of his personal particulars. He said three police personnel who were in the room with him also told him to translate the song to Bahasa Malaysia. Wee said he had no malicious intent and he was just being creative, expressing his personal views through the song. Asked if he was upset by the whole issue being blown out of proportion to the extent of him being summoned by the police, he said: "The police are just doing their job, that is investigating. I was just doing my job which is making music," he said, adding that he was actually excited about being called up by police as it was a new experience for him. Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) assistant director (multimedia & cyber crimes division) ACP Kamaruddin Md Din, when contacted, said police were close to wrapping up the probe under the Sedition Act and will submit the investigation papers to the Attorney-General's Chambers for further action. Wee had posted the song in online videoclip website Youtube.com in July last year which created a furore among certain politicians who pressed for punishment against the rapper for allegedly disrespecting the national anthem. Wee, who was then studying in Taiwan, returned home to Muar on Aug 29. - theSun
Another person for Kamunting team

Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Kamarudin will be sent to the Kamunting Detention Centre in Taiping, Perak today to begin his two-year detention under the Internal Security Act, said his lawyers. Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar had signed his detention order last night for the blogger to be held without trial under section 8(1) of the tough security law. Under the Act, the government can renew his detention indefinitely. Lawyers said the police had informed them this morning that they would be taking Raja Petra to the detention centre. In short, RPK got screwed. The government outmanouvered him.

There is no freedom for bloggers in this country. Who is minister syed hamid.?? A judge.?? Damn you, is this what you do on ramadhan month..? God will not bless you..!!!!

M'sian blogger freed

KUALA LUMPUR - MALAYSIAN police on Saturday freed a prominent political blogger who was arrested for suspected sedition after he launched an online protest against Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's embattled government. The case underscores the government's struggle to tackle increasing public dissent amid a threat by the opposition to topple Mr Abdullah's administration through parliamentary defections.
The blogger, Syed Azidi Syed Aziz, drew the government's ire last month when he posted a picture of Malaysia's national flag upside down on his popular blog and urged other Internet bloggers to follow suit to protest the country's political and economic problems.

Who's next.?? All bloggers in Malaysia.?? I dare you..!!

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi says he will not reconvene Parliament next Tuesday, as demanded by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Malaysia Taxis ‘worst’ in the world

The ads promoting "Malaysia: Truly Asia" aim to welcome visitors with a warm smile to a prosperous and modern nation, so the taxi fleet branded "the worst in the world" can come as a bit of a shock. Even the locals are not spared the shabby service of unkempt and hostile drivers behind the wheels of decrepit vehicles who refuse to use the meter, overcharge and pick-and-choose which destinations they will travel to.
Malaysia's 'worst in the world' taxis tarnish national image...

Economy is down.. No democracy.. Political upside down.. Racist is getting on it.. Now another world record.. Good job PM

Uganda seeking miniskirt ban

Uganda's ethics and integrity minister says miniskirts should be banned - because women wearing them distract drivers and cause traffic accidents. Nsaba Buturo told journalists in Kampala that wearing a miniskirt was like walking naked in the streets.
What's wrong with a miniskirt? You can cause an accident because some of our people are weak mentally.. Anthoer funny news..
Say NO To Political and Selective Detention
Badawi said, Anwar is a "threat to economy and national security." His statement indicates Anwar might be send to Kamunting ISA detention centre very soon but Badawi must take into the considerations, his party only win 48% of popular votes in peninsular. Meaning that, the citizens have send Badawi a very strong dissenting message. If he fails to interpret the signal then he will be in trouble, if he continues the plan to send the PR leaders to Kamunting. Threat to umno is not a threat to nation. His incapability to practice Rule of Law was a major failure which irked the investors so don't blame others. No more political detention. Release all ISA detainee's. Say NO To Political and Selective Detention.

Why the PM scared about Anwar until want to put him under ISA.?? Did you know that the malaysian against the ISA and yet you want to use this to a important person. DO you know what will the impact if you do so. Get more sleep my dear PM. You just useless...!!

A candle burns at the DAP vigil at its Selangor headquarters last night in solidarity with Teresa Kok, Raja Petra Kamarudin, the Hindraf 5 and all those currently detained under the ISA. A fire lantern was also released during the vigil.

The ISA should be used for terrorism. But the bloody malaysian govt is using it for their own purpose. They have detained a journalist for 10 hours under ISA and the reason given is for her own protection. Since when ISA becomes the place for security for human.?? I hope ISA will be abolished in our country and the BN too. For the BN, ISA means Ikut Suka Aku...

Oh My God

Senawang, 10 September 2008 : "Not my time yet." This is probably what Jaharah Saari, 44, would say about the incident that happened at the Senawang toll plaza near here in the wee hours of the morning today. In the 1.30am incident, Jaharah was in toll both number two and had just received payment from the driver of a trailer laden with rubberwood. "Suddenly, the trailer got stuck to the booth and dragged it along before the path was obstructed by the electronic signboard," she told Bernama at the scene. She said that she had told the driver before it happened that the trailer would not be able to pass through but he did not heed her warning and stubbornly wanted to proceed.

What the **ck, is the driver blind.? or just kopi o license.??

Court rules Thai PM must resign

Samak Sundaravej, Thailand's prime minister, has been found to have broken the Thai constitution by hosting a cooking show - seen as moonlighting while in public office.
Samak and his entire cabinet must resign over the scandal, Thailand's constitutional court said on Tuesday. Chat Chonlaworn, head of the nine-judge court, said that Samak had "violated Article 267 of the constitution" and that "his position as prime minister has ended".

Indian Game Shows Are Awesome

There's this game show in India called Dadagiri. Contestants have to survive three rounds of insults by the show's bullies and compete against each other to win 50,000 Rupees (RM4,000) in cash prize. The woman in the video is Esha The Goddess - the self-proclaimed "meanest, nastiest girl from college" and quite possibly the Indian version of Xiaxue. Her job is to put down the contestants and she particularly hates people with ugly faces. So in this particular episode, Esha yelled against one male contestant. She slapped him. HE SLAPPED HER BACK. She took it like a man. Meanwhile the whole entire 65,374 crew members surrounded the male contestant and proceeded to rip his non-existent balls out while he cried like a bitch.

State of Emergency in Bangkok - Again!

It’s state of emergency in Bangkok again. Public transport workers have joined the demonstrations demanding for the prime minister to resign. And public transport was a big problem. Fights are breaking up between Thaksin-Samak supporters and supporters of the People’s Alliance for Democracy.
No more Bumiputra

KUALA LUMPUR - MALAYSIAN opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim said on Tuesday he would dismantle controversial positive-discrimination policies for Muslim Malays if he seizes power in the multicultural country. He said he would replace the New Economic Policy (NEP) launched in the early 1970s with a system to boost all poor Malaysians, whether they are majority Malays or from the minority Chinese and Indian communities.
'We will do everything in our power and disposal to help and assist the poor and the marginalised, which means the vast majority of the Malays and the poor Chinese and the poor Indians, but we do it on a needs basis,' Mr Anwar said. He also promised to abandon the Approved Permits (AP) scheme for importing cars, which it is claimed has corruptly enriched a small number of Malay entrepreneurs. 'Those talking about Malay dominance would realise that the AP is a classic case where the Malays and the Malay name has been abused, raped and plundered by the few,' he told a press conference.
Mr Anwar, a former deputy premier and finance minister who was sacked and jailed a decade ago, has vowed to topple the government with the help of defectors within weeks. He accused embattled Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi of spending his way out of trouble with a 2009 budget packed with perks and tax cuts, and said if he comes to power he would reduce the projected 2008 budget deficit of 4.8 per cent of GDP. 'I suspect Abdullah feels that his days are numbered, so he spends as much as possible because he knows the next government has got to deal with the debts,' he said. The NEP was launched two years after racial riots broke out in 1969, in an effort to narrow the wealth gap between the Chinese - who control the business sector - and Malays, who dominate government. But critics say it has failed and that the policy's beneficiaries have been Malay entrepreneurs who cash in on an array of perks including discounts on property purchases and specially allocated government projects. Mr Anwar's opposition gained unprecedented ground against the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition in March general elections, after successfully garnering support from across Malaysia's racial spectrum. The 61-year-old opposition leader - himself a Malay - has also had to defend himself against allegations he has sold out the interests of the majority community in return for political gains. -- AFP
Man gets nut stuck around penis
KUALA LUMPUR - A MALAYSIAN welder had to have a nut removed from around his penis after an attempt to lengthen it before he gets engaged next week went embarrassingly wrong, a news report said on Sunday. The nut got stuck on his penis following an erection, the Star newspaper said, forcing him to seek help at a hospital in southern Johor state. Staff from the Sultanah Aminah hospital had to drain some blood from the penis and cut away a top layer of skin before the object could be removed, the newspaper said. It said the fire and rescue department were also involved in trying to remove the nut from the unnamed welder, who is in his 20s and hoped the nut would weigh down his penis to make it longer. 'The patient is now recovering and we hope to discharge him today (Sunday),' hospital director Daud Abdul Rahim told the Star.
On August 25, another young man in Kuala Lumpur had tried to increase his sexual prowess by slipping a steel ring around his penis, forcing the fire department to cut off the ring after doctors were unable to remove it, the newspaper said. -- AFP
